Dr. Laith Jamil, MD
Society Chair
Dr. Jamil is the Section Head of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Beaumont Health, Royal Oak. He specializes in pancreaticobiliary disorders, and advanced/interventional endoscopy.
Along with Dr. Kinnucan and Dr. Saad, he hopes that the Michigan GI Society can be a platform for all those caring for patients with gastrointestinal disorders throughout Michigan.

Dr. Jami Kinnucan, MD
Society Chair 2020 -2022
Dr. Kinnucan is an inflammatory bowel disease specialist previously practicing at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI but recently relocated to Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. She is currently the acting Governor of the ACG for Michigan.
She founded the Michigan GI Society with Dr. Saad in hopes to bring together providers throughout Michigan interested in caring for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Richard Saad, MD, MS, FACG
Society Co-Chair 2020 - 2022
Dr. Saad specializes in the management of functional and motility disorders at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI.
He founded the Michigan GI Society with Dr. Kinnucan and the assistance of the American College of Gastroenterology. It is his hope that this organization will foster fellowship, education and a unified voice for those issues facing professionals involved in providing GI care throughout the state of Michigan.
