The Michigan Gastrointestinal Society is a professional organization providing education, support and advocacy for healthcare providers in Michigan. Connecting gastroenterology providers including clinicians, researchers, advanced practice providers and allied health professionals.

The Michigan Gastrointestinal Society was founded in 2020 by Dr. Jami Kinnucan and Dr. Richard Saad as a statewide membership organization available to gastroenterologists, certified registered nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and allied health professionals engaged in the practice of gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy.

The mission of the society is to:

  • Facilitate sharing of information among colleagues

  • Foster support and collegiality

  • State and national level advocacy for healthcare issues in the area of gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy facing providers in Michigan
